Organising information in complex systems
My UX career started in the UK, where I worked for organisations like the BBC, Cambridge University Press, and GOV.UK, as well as a range of startups. Later I moved to Melbourne, where I worked for organisations like Seek and PwC before becoming a UX trainer at General Assembly.
In 2018 I moved to Canberra. An injury that left me disabled shaped the next two years.
My first career was as a teacher. Learning technologies and workplace learning have been threaded throughout my UX career.
I speak regularly at conferences and events, including UX Australia.
